The main product of TheWatt is the EV-Stoper, which transforms stoppers installed in parking spaces in parking lots into electric vehicle charging stations. The charger can be installed simply by installing the EV-Stoper on the electric rail and the construction is simple, drastically reducing the time-cost required to install electric vehicle charging stations in major apartments and buildings. Recently, it signed a technical cooperation contract with the Kwangwoon University Industry and Industry Cooperation Group and is pursuing a demonstration test that enables wireless charging.

"In the case of TheWatt, unlike conventional charging stations that require a lot of landfill and installation costs, the fact that stoppers everywhere in parking spaces have been converted into a charging platform stands out. If wireless charging is possible starting from the electric rail method, it will be an innovative electric vehicle charging platform," he said.

더인벤션랩은 더인벤션랩-DS네트웍스 투자조합을 통해 청춘에프앤비 및 더와트의 신주 인수를 마무리했다고 20일 밝혔다. 투자금액은 비공개다.
차세대 전기차 충전플랫폼 사업을 펼치고 있는 더와트에도 투자를 완료했다. 더와트의 주력제품은 EV-Stopper는 주차장 내 주차공간에 설치된 스토퍼(Stopper, 후진 시 충돌방지턱)를 전기차 충전소로 탈바꿈한 것으로 통전레일위에 EV-Stopper를 취부하는 것만으로 충전기를 설치할 수 있고 시공이 간단하여 주요 아파트 및 건물내 전기차 충전소 설치 의무에 필요한 시간-비용을 획기적으로 절감할 수 있다. 최근에는 광운대산학협력단과 기술협력계약을 체결하고, 무선충전이 가능한 실증실험을 추진 중이다.
“더와트의 경우, 매립 및 설치비용이 많이 투입되는 기존 충전소와 달리, 주차공간에 어디에나 있는 스토퍼를 충전플랫폼화 한 점이 돋보인다. 통전레일 방식에서 출발하여 무선충전까지 가능하다면, 혁신적인 전기차 충전플랫폼이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
